Wednesday night, celebrated the return of Spring at the 24rd Annual Bunny Hop for The Society of Memorial at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, sponsored by Gucci. The event was held for the second year at the magnificent, 583 Park Avenue. The night was filled with tons of fun performances from the The Big Apple Circus, craft projects for the kids; cupcake decorating, making your own bunny ears, and fashioning crazy hats. Along with our balloon twisting team, guests were kept busy with face painting, pipe cleaner art by Wendy the Pipe Cleaner Lady, dancing, magic shows by Magic Al, the Gucci photo booth and much more.
For the first time, the committee asked parents to encourage their children to bring coins to donate to the hospital. The event raised over $300,000 for the Pediatric Family Housing Endowment, which helps families afford staying overnight in NYC while their kids receive treatment at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, as well research toward sarcoma which has a particularly high mortality rate.
